May is Mental Health Awareness Month and we must give special attention to those who die by suicide in this country. The annual rate of suicide continues to rise, despite greater mental health awareness across the country. Sadly, suicide was the leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10 and 34 in 2019.

And with the concerns over deteriorating mental health and economic instability over the last couple years, experts are concerned about the increased risk of suicide. We believe employers have a role to play in supporting their employees mental and behavioral health. So it’s exciting to announce that for the second year in a row, our own John Hansbrough will be speaking at the 2022 Going Digital: Behavioral Health Tech summit on June 8th and 9th!

Event cover

Last year, the summit had over 4,000 attendees and this year’s event will feature 130+ speakers over 45+ hours of sessions over 2 days.

The best news? The event is free to attend!

Each year, Solome selects a non-profit to receive all proceeds beyond costs, and this year, the non-profit is the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Project 2025. The goal of Project 2025 is to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025. This non-profit and this cause are very important to John, as he was a board member for the Los Angeles Chapter of AFSP and lost his father to suicide in 2001.
